Are shift kits worth it? If so which kit is the best? I have a 72 lemans with a th350. The engine is a 350 with headers, dual exhaust, and edelbrock 600 cfm 4 barrel carb. I have read transgo is the way to go but they have a number of kits and I would like opinions on which one would be the best. Most of my driving is street, no racing. Thanks!

I forgot to mention I have a 10 bolt peg leg rear end...nothing fancy but she's mine!

Thanks! What's the main difference between that kit and 350-1&2? Have you used either of these kits? If so could you tell a difference? Thanks again!

i have not used either one but look at the description of the 350 1&2 to determine if you need any of the described features

That is a good kit, but I would caution you not to install the most aggressive settings if you plan on driving the car on the street, most people will not like the extreamly hard shifts, more suited to a track only car.
I would also suggest changing the oil pan with one with a drain plug at the same time. This kit will improve the shifting and make the trans run cooler due to less slipping of the clutches.
But it will not really make the car faster.
