ok heres the thing i have a 2000 firebird 3.8 . when i start my car it is fine. when as the car starts to warm up is when the problem starts to show its head. the rpm drops about 400. usually runs around 1000 or 900 an when it gets warm it drops to around 6 or 7. when shifting up its fine but when it starts to shift down i lose power. the lights dim an it feels like the car is about to die but then jumps up as it get into gear. then will idle around 6 again when i stop. can anyone help me? it started happening after i did a radiator flush an replaced the thermostat.

did you accidentally disconnect any vaccuum hoses or electrical connections?

well when i replaced the thermo i had to take the egr hose off but other then that i took out the battery because the coolant resivour was under it an i cleaned that out. an my pos. connection to the battery is stripped a bit... would that be the problem?
