We need to replace the shocks in our 2003 Aztek Rally. Can we use regular shocks or do they have to be air shocks? We were told regular shocks will give it the same ride and feel as air shocks. Simply need to not hook up the air line. Any advice? Thanks!

If you normally manually fill the shocks that would be fine. Does the vehicle have a built in air compressor?

We just bought the car so I don't know how the shocks were filled in the past. Yes, it has a built-in compressor.

Everything i have read says it's a system with sensors that I believe automatically inflate the shocks. Doesnt seem like you can just leave the lines disconnected, you have to disable the compressor.
