Should I get a Pontiac GTO?

I currently have an '08 Tacoma which I could trade in for 22,000. Im out of my truck phase and also need to make a little money (thank you wall street) Im looking into a 05-06 GTO. Why you ask? Well 400 horses sums it up. But is this car really as baddass as it seems or is it really a piece of deuce with inflated numbers. I drive a car to have fun not for leg room and trunk space. So I'm asking owners and previous owners if this is a car worth getting? Keep in mind I will make about 4-6k on the trade in.
 
The good thing about the GTO is the LS series engines they have a very good aftermarket backing and are fairly easy to mod if the HP is not enough for you in stock form ..
another thing is it's NOT another Camaro or Firebird it's different...
