sliding door/radio

Hello, my wife has a 2005 Pontiac montana sv6 3.5L. We have been having trouble with the passenger door not working. It would close automatically but when it gets about 6in away from closing it would stop and reopen and beep. I found some stuff online about cleaning the contacts and pulling the fuse and trying to realign it back up. Sometimes if it did close it would continue to beep about every minute while we were driving. But that didn't work. Its not even hitting the contacts to begin with. So I turned it off with the switch on the overhead and quit using it. That has been going on about 2 years now. Now just the other day the driver door started doing the same thing. I tried turning that one off and using it manually but it was still beeping and wouldn't close all the way. I cant seem to wrap my head around it. It is very annoying especially since both doors are doing this. Any help would be great. I wouldn't care if there was something else (other than the switch in the overhead) that I could disconnect and use them manually.

Another thing I wanted to know is about the radio. Is there anything I could hook up or buy so I can have an auxiliary hook up so I can listen to say an ipod? I have a adaptor that I bought from best buy for my wife that you plug into the cig lighter and find an empty station but she doesn't like that too much. I bought an adaptor for my Honda that I was able to connect to the radio and listen to an ipod, so I was just curious if you could do the same thing without having to get a whole new radio.

Don't have any experience with the doors but I would think it may be a sensor, but I don't even know where the sensor is Lol so sorry that was no help But I would first try doing a reset and relearn as per u r owners manual. Not sure what to tell u about the radio, if u have a cassette then u can get one of those cassette adapter but if u have a cd then u r stuck with the blue tooth fm transmitter.
