I am getting ready to due a tune up and was thinking about using the E3 plugs with the circular spark emitter, as opposed to the single emitter that covers the elctrode (standard plugs).

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Tim

Tim I started to read the info about the plugs from the link I can't see where they say what the tip is made of ? Is it Platinum.Copper, double Platinum,Iridium ? What I can tell you that I have experience with bosh platinum 4 , I put them in my buick 3800 and it did not like them it would slightly misfire almost like the tranny was slipping ever so slightly I was thinking it might of been to strong of a spark and would arc out of the boot ? All I know is when I went back to the stock oem acdelco it fixed the problem and I got great gas mileage .

I work at advanced auto.. I said to my co-worker one day whats with these E3 spark plugs we got here on sale... before I could finish my sentence he was like they are garbage don't even bother...

as others have stated stick with what the engineers at GM have chosen

spark plugs

I started twisting wrenches in 1954 over the years I have seen dozens of "magic" spark plugs come and go. None of them works as claimed. Dont you think with the govt on the backs of car makers to improve mileage, if a plug could do the trick they would use them. I have played with these things in a plug tester and by golly the laws of physics do apply. The spark jumps to one point,,the closest.

Best bet is to stick with the AC Delco or NGK Iridiums that the manufacturer recommends.
