starter engages when i put it into reverse

i just swapped a motor into my 2000 pontiac sunfire its the 2.2 sohc auto, car started ran great all day, now all of sudden the starter engages when i put car into reverse, the turn signals will blink when they want and the drl light doesnt come on all the time anymore,,, and the starter will stay engaged when starting the car if i dont start it just right, these problems just started..

Check the starter wire connections you may have shorted something or the starter solenoid may have a problem.
