Steering wheel broke off onthe shaft

I have a 1996 I pulled the steering wheel off the metal peace on the back that that slides on the shaft broke off on the shaft and won't come off what can I do to take it off the shaft if it stuck?

Yes but the peace behind the steering wheel is stuck

Have you tried finding a shop manual, maybe local library has Gabe's.

I got it off i went to harbor freight and got a puller and a hand file and shaved the ends to make it fit over it then I torque it off with a impact
