Stock stall speed for Formula 400 with TH 350

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows what the factory stall speed for a 1971 TH 350 with a 400 engine in my 1971 Formula.
I am having the engine rebuilt and the machinist said I need to go 400 over stock. I cannot tell by looking at the one that came out nor do I know if its stock.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Why would he come up with a number like that? What camshaft are you putting in the engine? Have you looked at aftermarket torque convertors for your engine, they start at 2,000 RPM.

Stock Stall speed for a Turbo 350 = 1400-1700 rpm

Stock Stall speed for a Turbo 400 = 1300 -1500 rpm

The Turbo 350 was not available with anything larger than 350 V8 that year.

400 V8's all came from the factory with Turbo 400's in 1971.
