Hi, I was thinking about putting subwoofers into my Pontiac Fiero. The problem is, the car is tiny. I need a very small sub and box to fit in my car and I dont even know a good place toput it. Please help. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks

There are many choices.
These are the four popular set-ups.

First location is in the passenger footwell. This is large enough to hold a single 8" or 10" sub. I put an 8" sub in my car. Here is a link to my system for some more idea's:

Second location would be where the factory sub goes. Under the dash on the passenger side. It is large enough for a 8" sub. (the factory sub was a 5" sub in a ported box) Generally you make a round tube with the 8" sub at one end and seal the other. The tube would mount vertically with the woofer pointing down.

Third place is the center console. Some places make a box that removes the glove box cover and places a 8" or 10" sub woofer in it. You can order one from here: http://www.tlg-auto.com/shop.html?p...=flypage-ask.tpl&product_id=69&category_id=27
and it looks like this:

The last place is behind the seats. Depending on your height and how well you are at custom work, You can fit two 8", 10" or 12" subs behind the seats. There is a little trick with Fiero's, Behind the seats there is a small hidden panel.
Here is a link that explains mounting subs behind the seats:

Clarion used to make a completely self-contained unit. It was a ported 6-in. "sub". Actually didn't sound too bad, and would fit behind the seats without any major modification pretty easily. Now whether they still make it or not....
