Sunbird fan not working

Hello. My blower fan inside my 1989 Sunbird has stopped working.
Oddly, if I leave it and go over a bump, it will sometimes come back on.

Any ideas?

Sounds like a dirty, or bad switch. It could also be a bad connection at the switch.

Thanks, where would I find the switch and what is it called? I have a Shop service manual so I might be able to find it there.

The switch is located in the dash right behind the blower switch knob. You should be able to remove the knobs and trim to pull the assembly out. The part is listed here.

I'm sorry, but I haven't had a any luck finding a diagram. What I'd recommend is getting a Haynes or Chilton manual, it will explain how to do the repair.

My .02 is the blower motor. When it doesnt run, hit it. If it runs replace the motor.

Thanks. It is working again, but if it stops I will try hitting the blower motor and see.
