Sunfire 2002 Fuel Problem

Hi, friends, I have a serious problem with my 2002 Sunfire; since the fuel gauge indicates that the fuel is near over a half tank capacity, the car stars to lose power and the engine eventually turns off, then I have to keep the fuel over the middle of the tank. . . I was watching the car from below and i noticed that there's an plug that is disconnected (see the attached photo)

Where under the car is this plug located front, rear,etc? Did you put the car on jack stands or a lift and look for where the plug should be connected?

Hello Melsg5, thanks for your attention...the conector is located in the rear under the car, next to the fuel tank (please see the attachment). . . the connector is unplgged and is easy to reconnect it, I did not connect it because the technician told me that is better to scan the car before. . .

I wonder if that goes to the fuel tank pressure sensor?

I have the Repair Manual, but it doesnt describes that connector. . .but it seems to work with the fuel system

What technican, you didnt mention that originally nor did you mention you have any codes? Puzzled why you just dont plug it back in?
