Good day all,

I have a 2003 sunfire 2.2l ecotec sitting in my driveway right now. Worked fine coming home, however when I tried to go out again, she said no. Battery voltage is good, starter is turning the belt ( and alternator) and I hear the fuel pump working. Leading me to believe ignition module. Any suggestions/confirmation? Appreciate it

Either no fuel or no spark. Do a fuel pressure test when cranking and check for spark at the plugs.

So, no compression tester so that left me a bit short. However, sprayed quick start in the throttle body, car caught for several seconds, then died. Attempted to see what the fuel pressure was by checking the releif valve. No fuel at all. Checked the Fuel pump relay, could hear it engaging and also feel it engaging. No sound from the fuel pump what so ever, so..........

Where I have spark (car starting with the ether), and the relay is good, with no fuel pressure (no fuel coming out of the relief valve) and no sound of the pump engaging, it is leading me to believe that the pump is gone. Any other thoughts?

sounds like the pump but first make sure the pump is getting power when you first turn the key to run

Just had the same problem with my 2002 but I get it fixed ... Wasn't the pump it was wireing test to see if u got power going to the relay and if u do fallow the wires back to the fuel pump and (unplug) every wire connection and look for burnt wire. That's what happened to mine but the plug didn't look bad until I unplugged it
