sunfire trunk wont open

my 2005 sunfire trunk wont pop open All I hear is a clicking sound with no results any suggestions

dont you have the key? once open check the lock solenoid for proper operation.

check the trunk latch..it probably slipped, seen this happen on many sunfires including ours.

I have installed a working latch from scrap yard It seems like i have power at the plug were it connects into solenoid. The clicking sound I hear is at the body conrtol module. Is driving me nuts cant figure it out.

well if you have power at the solenoid and it doesnt move than the solenoid is bad
