I Want to purchase a fiero that i saw for sale that has alot of engine km, and pretty soon ill have a spare pontic 350 sitting in the garage. I was wondering how to put this into the fiero. I know it can be done, but what would be involved? Changing everything? how does it work with rear-wheel engine mounts + rear wheel drive. Please let me know, Id really like to get into this for over the winter. Thanks

There are a couple of companies out there that make adapter plates to put the Small Block V8 in a Fiero. The prices of these kits and the depth of helpful parts that come with them vary greatly. Street Dreams and V8 Archie are two of the more well known vendors out there. MOST V8 Fieros out there are using Archie's kit. There are a few V8's that mate will mate up to the stock Fiero transmission without an adapter plate, such as the 4.5 and 4.9 PFI Cadillac V8 and the 4.0 Aurora V8 and 4.6 Northstar V8. By the sounds of things you will need the adapter plate for your engine of choice. Good luck with your swap!
