Explains silverstar and other blue fitler bulbs...

You're best bet for Stock 9004's is to use a relay harness. Daniel stern explains that as well if you look through his tech. He sells the pieces you need for 60 bucks, then you need about $10 in wires and have to put it all together.

About the best 9004 bulb on the market is the GE nighthawk platinum. They have just the best light output for basically the worst bulb optics on the market. All in all, 9004's suck.

The hid retrofit that Spatel did is legit, and the only way to do HIDs in a halogen equipped car. 640 is about right for someone else doing it. I managed my E-55 Bi-xenon 4300k setup w/greddy 55w ballasts for about $280 bucks. But its easily around an 7-8 on the difficulty scale depending on the vehicle, just for the final setup and adjustment being a pain.

The last option for the GM Vans is headlamps from an Opel Sintra or Vauxhaul sintra.
The part numbers for the US are 16526209 left and 19167929 right.

The headlights are different on this vehicle, they use an H4 bulb. They have far better optics and put out about 180% of the light the OEM pontiac lights do, when in 100% new condition, much less after the aging these cars now have.

If you go to Ebay.de and search scheinwerfer opel sintra it will find you headlights for this van. I got a set for 110 to the door. It just takes time. bulbs aren't so bad either, the best being about 18 a pop.

Really wouldn't do one of those. Stick with relays and stock bulbs. I promise it is the only legit way to actually improve your lights. The kits you are talking about are just a chinese piece of crap that takes a d2s hid bulb and puts it on a halogen bulb base so it physically fits into various sockets, but your headlamps are in no way meant for them and the optics will basically throw light up and down and that's about it.

On top of that the colors you chose won't do you a lick of good. Purple and blue are very hard colors for the human eye to decipher and do not light up, but actually blur objects. Just check youtube for 6000 or 8000k videos of hids. Its a vad idea, trust me.

I would go on but lighting is a ridiculously complex subject that I could spend hours explaining. Basically hids and led headlights come on high dollar cars for a reason. They are not simple or cheap to create and control the light output. A 50 dollar ddm or etc kit is just a big waste of money that basically makes you're headlights into christmas lights. Pretty but useless.

You don't have to trust me but do your own research. I myself have relayed and upgraded many halogen lights, done hid retrofits and relayed many systems. There is a right way to so it and it takes skill.

If you won't take my word ask questions on hidplanet.com, danielsternlighting.com, candlepowerinc.com, or other reputable sites. If the english is piss poor, I wouldn't trust the ininformation, its easy to spot chinese marketing tactics basically.

You may be able to find a 9004 relay kit on ebay if its at least 12 gauge, but you can build one with ceramic fittings for under 70 bucks

well i was looking at 6000k lights in pure white if it wasnt for having driving lights i wouldent be seeing the road at all the stock lights dont work very well alredy. so what should i do then i know i need new lenses and crap but ill still have isues with lighting i think

Don't waste your money on those Silverstar-type halogen bulbs, they're no better than stock and at best are just tinted glass to give the light a different color.

The front of the package might say "25% brighter", but if you read the back of the packaging carefully, you'll see it says something to the effect of "brand-new SilverstarXYZ bulbs are 25% brighter than worn-out standard halogen bulbs."

Of course, brand-new standard halogen bulbs are also 25% brighter than worn-out standard halogen bulbs. So there you go.

What I am trying to say is that an HID "plug n play" kit isn't going to make you see better. its just going to blast light in a whole bunch of random ass directions and probably not reach very far at all in a 9004 reflector with a shield.

About all you can do is:
1. New OEM headlights, GE nighthawk 9004 bulbs, relay harness.
2. HID projector retrofit into stock housings with good clear oem lenses, relay kit.
3. German/European Opel Sintra OEM headlights, using H4 bulb and relay kit, Osram 70/65w bulbs
4. Use aftermarket driving lights for driving when on the road without other cars around. You cant use these within 500ft of another driver, just like high beams.

that's basically all that will actually work, safely. HID kits are popular for some reason or another, but that doesn't make them a good, effective, or safe product to use. Most of the cost of this stuff is unreasonable unless you can do it on your own.

i may be able to marginally help out but I'm a pretty busy person. I can make relay kits easy enough though.
