It's hard to find this, and at $9 per bottle, I gotta wonder what the options are.
The '06 Torrent with the Automatic calls for the T-IV fluid, which I've never used before. It's hard to find it, and wondering where to go for it? Sounds like it's a Toyota brand, and for some reason the Torrent uses it. Must be a Toyota transmission? Not sure on that thou
I went to do a change on it, got the filter package and was under the car with a wrench when I thought I should verify the fluid before I do a drop. Bought a pail of the Dex/Mer III for my other car, and I thought this was it for the Torrent too.
I did notice the fluid seemed darker than standard ATF, is this normal? Perhaps it's just long past a fluid change? Doesn't seem to shift funny or anything however.
