The automatic head light system in my 99 pontiac grand am is not working

properly? THEY ONLY WORK EVERY NOW AND THEN, AND OTHER LIGHTS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE ARE ACTING GOOFY, NOT TURNING OFF ETC. COULD THIS BE A SHORT. I CANNOT SEEM TO KEEP A BULB IN THE PASSENGER HEAD LAMP, THEY KEEP BLOWING.
 
Try to check the wiring harness and the gromet, are they loose or corroded? also check the bulb, is it installed properly?
