Tie rod end

I am replacing the front suspension components on my 03 Montana, On the passenger side the nut holding the outer tie rod end to the hub assembly will not come all the way off the bolt. There is an 8mm head on the bottom of the bolt which i assume is for removing the nut if the whole bolt turns but it will not go past that ? What am i missing? The driver side did not have it.

you dont have enough room to grab the tie rod with a vise grip and turn the nut? did you try tightening the nut and cleaning the threads before removing it?

Sorry for not getting back on sooner . I did everything with trying to hold it. Even heated it for i bit . Ended up cutting it off just above the nut on the bottom.
