Alright I got a set of 4 matching pair of tires for a really good price. My question is will they work on my 2000 grand am gt. I know the factory size is a 225/50/16. But these are a 225/55/16. Was wondering if these will work or will I have clearance issues.

The width of the tire is identical 225mm, the height of the tire is slightly different the one you have now is 24.86" and the other one is 25.74" will cause a slight variation in speedometer accuracy but nothing of concern. Since we are talking about less than 1" in diameter increase it is doubtful there would be any interference in normal driving situations. Does the vehicle appear to be at normal ride height, the springs arent fatigued?
