Tire sizes for '09 Torrent

Hi everyone. All websites indicate two tire sizes for my '09 Torrent: 235/65 R16 and 235/60R17. The tires currently on the car are the 235/60R17. When shopping for winter tires does this mean I have a choice of either those 16 or 17 sizes, or because the car now has the 17 is that what I should be buying? Thanks so much

you cannt put a 16" size on a 17" wheel

I'm trying to find out if 235/65R16 on 16" rims will fit my car. It currently has 17" rims and tires. I'm not trying to put 16" tires on 17" rims.

if it was an optional size for your vehicle it will fit if they are the correct 16" wheels, bolt pattern, backspacing, offset.
