Tore to Pieces

This last weekend, me and my dad started working on my 1969 firebird. we tore out the engine and tranny and completely tore down the motor. we took the tranny to a local shop 2day and are having them put a shift kit in it. the engine block and heads were taken to a local machine shop to get a estimate on how much we are looking to spend. he said the block had already been bored .040 over and said we will pry end up boring it more b/c he recommended we should. i will hopefully have everything back in the next 2 or 3 weeks and have it ready to be put back in!:) just thought id give you guys a update, and to add to the lonely muscle car section.:P

Well i never did take any pictures for you guys. I got the engine rebuilt put back in painted all shined up. Tranny shift kit and and the car is running. drove it a few times. it drives like a champ and has plenty of power. i absolutely love it. got a picture that i used microsoft paint to edit with.. just wanted to get a brief idea of what colors would look like.. the picture is not recent and dont expect much. here you go..

Aww man that looks awsome dude, I'm going to get an early model 1969 Firebird myself for my birthday. 350 CI, 320HP, manual with hurst shifter. she's a beauty. ill stick a photo on here too. Goodluck with the restoration, it lookes like your car will be realyl cool when it's all done
