Tracing a short in the VSS leads

Hey, all. Still trying to get my speedometer to work. Everything is ok except the yellow lead from the VSS, which has no continuity. The wiring diagram shows it leading from the VSS to C207. The component location view identifies C207 as being on the RH side of the steering column.

If I start tracing forward from the VSS, are there any other connections I can probe prior to C207? Can you suggest a logical protocol for pinning down the area where the break is?

Adios, everybody. It's just too hard to get a timely response on this forum. The ones I have received have been spot-on, and I thank you--especially Oreif and Melsyg3. But I think I'll ply my problems elsewhere.
