I have a 2002 grand prix gt v6. When the car is cold the gears seem to rev and takes time to change losses power, when it does change the engine seems to jump. When the car is warm nothing happens and drives normal. I think it's the transimission but i only have 40,000 miles on it. If anyone is having the same problem please tell me or if anyone knows how to fix it.
 
2005 Pontiac GXP Transmission Problem

I have a 2005 GXP with aV-8 and 12,00 miles with the very SAME problem...no answer from dealer so far!

I know that the 4L60-E or 4L80-E if thats wha you have has a lot of solenoids. and /or the T.C.C. torque converter control that engages the lock up can make your engine stall . and maybe when it warms up the heat loosenes it up enough to work well.when was the last time you changed the fluid and filter.
