Sometime ago, some pr*ck superglued my trunk's lock.... I've tried everything (short of changing out the lock) to get my key to work for the trunk but its just not going to happen...
This normally isn't an issue because I've always had the remote entry keyfob and i've managed to not worry about it...
Well it looks like someone has engaged the truck lockout mechanism which forces you to only be able to unlock the truck with a key (inside button doesn't unlock the truck and the keyfob does nothing now).
How am I suppose to gain entry to the trunk now? You can't replace the lock without being inside the trunk, the lock is essentially fubar'd from the superglue (I've tried everything from initially having a locksmith try to me trying with acetone, paint stripper, soldering iron, screwdrivers, ice picks... etc... ). I can't gain access through the back seats due to the back seat releases being in the trunk... The inside trunk release doesnt work and my keyfob doesn't work...
I'm literally not that far away from ripping one of the backseats out and fixing the damage that happens...
