If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am which my bought almost new. Now it has 106,000 miles on it. No check engine is on, and no obvious problem, but it seems to me like it has been kind of sluggish with not as much feeling of power to it than it used to have. It has the 6 cylinder engine.
I have been quoted $400.00 by our mechanic for a tune up for new plugs, wires, coil. Question is, will this help a little bit for better acceleration? I think the car has Never had a tune up since she bought it, and now has crossed the 100,000 mile mark. Most of the driving has been about 1/2 high way, and 1/2 in town.

I'd like to hear what others think.

Thanks much.

You have no check engine light so I would just change what is required, air filter, fuel filter, and spark plugs.

I wonder if there is a way I can tell by looking if the wires need replacing. Wish I knew how to do somethings that don't really require any tools. I will try U tube and see if some stuff can be done by a novice.
Any particular brand or type of plugs recommended?
