I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am which my bought almost new. Now it has 106,000 miles on it. No check engine is on, and no obvious problem, but it seems to me like it has been kind of sluggish with not as much feeling of power to it than it used to have. It has the 6 cylinder engine.
I have been quoted $400.00 by our mechanic for a tune up for new plugs, wires, coil. Question is, will this help a little bit for better acceleration? I think the car has Never had a tune up since she bought it, and now has crossed the 100,000 mile mark. Most of the driving has been about 1/2 high way, and 1/2 in town.
I'd like to hear what others think.
Thanks much.
