...Sunfire? Have a 2000 Pont. Sunfire 98,000 miles. Is it true that 100,000 miles is the time for a tune up? Where can I find the right spark plugs for this specfic car with the lowest prices? My mechanic says he'll charge $65 for an hour of labor on this or I could pay $120 for a warranty (which rarely is necessart in this case since spark plugs usually don't break apart) and the best quality/non-generic brand of plugs.
So where, can I get the right/best spark plugs for the lowest price and do you know of any major brand mechanics that can do it for less? Maybe I should try to see if one of my acquaintances can do it for cheaper?
Do the internet guides have good and easy instructions for anyone to do this themselves without creating more damage?
I know you have to change the plugs about ever 30,000 miles I've heard, right? My mechanic says he'll charge $120 for the whole package which include buying the parts. I found a set of 4 NKG Platinum plugs for $15 on a website, that might save me a lot. The tools, I may not have all of them and don't know if it's worth buying them all for doing my own tune up. Maybe I should go to an old friend and see if he'll let me borrow some from his garage or do a whole tune up for cheaper?
