Yes, I know this is hardly the platform to build upon, but I like unconventional things. I have spoken to a few people in my Mitsu community about building a possible tune for the LNJ. Some have shot it down entirely, but my dyno guy is looking into it. I'm looking for a mild 91 octane map, nothing too exotic, and am wondering if it has ever been done before. If so, I would greatly appreciate some additional info on the subject. If not, well that is how it is.

Will update if things develop on my end

Didn't look like they had too much to offer. We're basically limited to a drop-in filter (AEM or K&N) and a few mufflers, the rest would all have to be custom.

Dyno guy got back to me, he said 2006 models had weird ECUs. Ecotec and the LNJ are not tunable, so it looks like it's back to square one.

Came across a tuning company in Iowa that supposedly has worked on 1st gen 3.4 Equinoxs/Torrents. They're called Czipar Performance. Will look into it in more detail come the morning

Turns out the 2005-2006 3.4 is not supported by HPtuners, although the 2007-2009 MYs are. I looked into a possible ECU swap from a later year Torrent, but the ignition systems are different and I don't see it as feasible. Another dead end.

thanks for the update. As you already know some vehicles are just a dead end for mods due to the nature of the type of vehicle and aftermarket companies not willing to invest time and money on a very limited application.

That's the way of the world. No need to supply if there is no demand

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
