Does anyone know which one is the TURN SIGNAL RELAY in the engine compartment fuse box? I looked at my owner's manual and it is not listed here. I am having trouble with my turn signals intermittently working. Some days they work, some times they don't. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why they quit working, and then start working again. I am having no other electrical problems with my car. So I want to clean the inside of my turn signal relay with automotive sandpaper so it will have a clean connection. So does anyone know where the TURN SIGNAL RELAY is located on a 2004 grand am?

Thanks in advance,

Remove all your turn signal bulbs and check for corrosion in the bulb socket

That was my plan. I was just going to remove each relay and open and clean them with sandpaper one by one, but now I am finding out that I cannot get the darn thing to open with my pocket knife! Ugh.

Is there an easier way to open these relays?

Thanks,

I said the bulb sockets not the relays, they are solid state relays nothing to sand.

Thanks for the www.briantech.com info, but I already read that entire post before. The Hazzard Switch is not a problem related to mine at all.

I'm not having a problem with my bulbs at all. They work fine when they work. My turn signals on my dash board do not make the clicking sound or light up now and then. I was told it is a turn signal relay issue.

This is what I was trying to do.

However, I can not find which relay is the turn signal relay. My manual does not state which one it is. :(

I recommend you reread this link, the hazard switch causes the intermitant turn signal problem, there is NO separate relay.
