Vacuum canister

I have a recently purchased 72 LeMans. The entire dash was out and all parts found in the trunk. I have tried several times to send a picture of the vacuum canister, but could not get it to work.
I think it goes somehow with the A/C system.. I don't know where it gets installed, or where the vacuum line comes from that attaches to it. Please help if you have any ideas regarding this.

Is it a large coffee can looking part with one metal or plastic line? with two tabs to mount it?

It could be all plastic and round in shape.

If it is as i am describing normally it gets mounted to one of the inner fender wells yet I do not know for sure on your car.

This is tied into the vacuum source for the dash so you do not loose vacuum under wide open throttle.
