Van wont shift into overdrive?

Last year transmission stopped shifting into overdrive...the transmission eventually failed and I replaced it. I thought that it would correct the problem but transmission still will not shift into over drive?

This may no help but I will put it out there , did you check your linkage and perhaps your are in 3rd gear and the needle says od ? and check your fuses I think this is a electric tork lock up convertor ? keep us posted

Not sure if this applys to Montana but on others a faulty stop lite switch can cause this.
