What does everyone weigh in on whether to wash your car with a hose and soap or just use cleaners with soft cloths? Not sure if I'm doing the right thing.

Hose, soap, two buckets, one for fresh water, second to rinse applicator.

Along with what Melsg5 said, use a good quality automotive soap as well. Stay away from dish soap or anything similar. They strip wax from the painted surface while quality automotive soaps nourish the paint. I use Chemical Guys. Meguiar’s is another good alternative.

Thank you for the replies

Trying to find out what the RPM's are on my engine while at different speeds while on the highway. Seems to me the RPM's are too high at high speeds. Don't want to put in a permanent Tachometer because its a automatic and I think automatic cars don't need Tachometers! So I'm wondering if there is anything inexpensive that I can hook up temporarily to find out my RPM's and then take it out. Does something like this exist?

If you don't have a tachometer how are you determining rpm is too high?
You can use a handheld gauge and use long wires to get rpm readings.
