Hi,

I have a 1980 Turbo TA and need to replace my water pump and Antenna Motor.

Has anyone ever replaced a water pump and Antenna Motor?

Do I need to remove the Dash for the a water pump replacement? And Antenna motor; has anyone replaced it? It appears to be a hidden under the fender? Don't know..

Thx

Anthony

is that a joke question about the engine water pump? You do know the water pump is in the front of the engine?

It's not that it's a silly question just dont see how you could think a water pump has anything to do with the dashboard. How about some more explanation of why you think you need a new water pump and what made you think the dashboard had anything to do with it?

I misspoke - it's not a water pump. It's the heater core which is why I indicated removing the dash. I have anti-freeze coolant leaking on the passenger side when I turn on the heat. So my bad with posting the incorrect info.

I'll have to buy a heater core and try to find a reliable mechanic to replace it.

Heater core makes much more sense. You live in New Jersey, do you drive in cold weather? Do you need heat? If not you can connect the two hoses going to the heater core and not use it. If you do want to repair it the dash does NOT come out, read the link below. For the antenna the inner fender liner has to be removed. Good luck.
