Ok, first, let's get the usual stuff out of the way... I've driven fast cars all my life, had a beautiful Trans Am before this and while my car is still beefy, it's just not what i'm looking for. I needed a car like this because my insurance payments were way too high so i figured, downgrade and mod). I'm not too familiar with the ins and outs of the 6 cyl so I could use some help in upgrading it. If you have any good ideas, and hopefully some good places to buy parts, I would appreciate it. It's a 5 speed btw. Thanks for any help

The only 6/cylinder engine worth doing anything to would be the 3.8 and there really is NOT alot you can do to them without expending large amounts of money ..
the cost to upgrade a V/6 to the stock V/8 spec is probably the difference between the V/8 and the V/6 cars insurence cost ..
simple upgrades like an intake and exhaust will NOT help in the HP department (mabye 10-15HP) and you really can't put a turbo or supercharger on a stock Bottom end V/6 so you are left with expensive aftermarket parts that in my opinnion are NOT worth the money ...

if you want a performance car you will have to pay the price for it ...one way or another ..
