What are some of the best ways to give my Pontiac Firebird 1992 5.0L V8

with Throtle Body Injector more torque? I have a 92 Firebird 5.0L V8 with a throttle body injector. I would like to make it go faster on the pick up of the car ounce it starts going that thing flys but the beginning is a little rough. I do not have alot of money at the moment and am looking for some cheap things to get to boost this baby up. I didnt know if I should check the Fuel Injection system to see if it needed to be cleaned or replaced. But what I am thinking right now is just installing a cold air intake and finding a used Turbo Charger off a used truck that is non diesel. That is the plan so far any other suggestions or better ones at that would be great. Thanks.

First things first. Do a tune up. It can increase performance if you haven't done one yet. Did you check your plugs? You may need new ones. Are your plug wires original? If so, replace them. Also, maybe a new ignition module?

Next, get a better exhaust (headers, cat back exhaust, and maybe a cat delete if you live in a state that doesn't test for smog.) and a cold air intake and a set of underdrive pulleys.

All of these things are good bolt ons.
