Does it not work at all? Or does it partially work?
You might want to start by checking your fuses. If that isn't the case then the window motor might not work.

if you hear a buzzing, your motor is good, don't mess with it or you'll burn it. if you have nothing then the motor is bad, if it goes up and down and catches and clicks the regulator is toast, regulator is the track that guides the window. Us with VW'S know this problem all too well
