Looking to replace the battery in my Pontiac 2002 V6 Grand Am before the winter. My dad says it's nothing to put in he can do it.. just need to buy one. So how do I know which one I need?

I prefer Interstate brand batteries, however, suggest to look for the longer warranties. Chances are if the store is willing to stand behind it for several years, it's probably a pretty good battery. Going into the 5th year on an AutoZone Gold 8year warranty battery - so far, so good.
Suggest this is a good time to clean the terminals up clean-clean for a good connection. I like to put a light coat of Vaseline on the terminals to prevent future corrosion.
