I really thinking they are associated, Im having the same problem with my 2000 T/A and no one can explain to me how over nite the abs unit which is also part of the traction control stop working simutaneously with the driver side window motor and the headlite door motors...and the fact that i cant turn my dimmer lights on with out the headlite doors popping up..with a grinding mechanical noise that last 5 to 8 seconds
If they are making a grinding noise it is because there are plastic bushings in the motor that have hardened and crushed. They used to sell rebuild kits for them, not sure if they are still available.
