my car is a 91 firebird with a 3.1 engine can i put a 5.7 liter engine on that car when the engine blow up , do i have to change the trans if so what kind of trans do i put in if i go for a 5.7 engine

BE CARE FULL IF YOUR CAR DID NOT COME EQUIPT WITH A 5.7 YOU will need a new computer. and harness. if you can do that right. then you need to prove that thier was a 5.7 option for that year for smog.??? thats why people fix smog exempt car any thing below 1970 is smog exempt..
