Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky were both GM companies and had a shared vehicle platform but slightly different designs such as lights, grilles, dashboards and so forth. But the engines, transmissions, chassis, etc., were the same. This shared platform made it less expensive for Pontiac and Saturn to produce because it's done on a much larger volume of vehicles.
From what I remember the only differences were some slight trim modifications. the bulk of the differences had to do with local safety standards of where ever the model was shipped. For instance the Opel had different glass, tail lights and slightly different front facia based on German motor vehicle standards.
