whats the largest tire i can put on my 98 pontiac sunfire without it affecting...

...performance and handling? i presently have factory suggested 195/65/15s on it, but i'm having trouble finding 15s. so i'm wondering if i can put 16s, or maybe 17s, on it since those are easier to find. any help would be much appreciated!! thanks a lot and Happy Holidays!!!!
i know i'd have it buy new rims, but will 16s or 17s work.

You can put stock 16's on it (205/55/16 tire I believe), and that would be the only other way of it not affecting the performance/handling...

You can put any size wheel on, as long as its in the certain parameters for our cars, and they will work, but obviously it will play a role in how it drives/feels. I have 19's on mine, and I've seen 22" wheels on the rear of a cavalier before. (lots of work needed though)
