I have a Firebird T/A that is being restored. There is what appears to be an air valve beside the license plate. My husband says the line that lead from it aren't big enough to be for air shocks. If anyone could explain its purpose, I would appreciate it.
Thanks a bunch!

It's always air shocks. In 1000 out of 1000 cases. Your husband probably doesn't know what air shocks tubing actually looks like.

The air valve you re talking about is the same type used on tires, a shrade valve. it was/is for air shocks, if they are still there. alot of guys? put them there in the early days to cheaply give their car the 'Jacked Up' look. The lines on them were mostly semi-hard nylon and the diameter is less than 1/4 inch. They only supplied air to the shocks so they didnt need to be a big line.
