Hallo
ich habe eine 1965er Catalina
das neue Radlager hat Spiel an der Steckachse.
Was würden Sie tun, ohne eine neue Welle zu kaufen?
in Deutschland sind diese sehr teuer.
Ich will es nicht unbedingt aufschweißen.
wenn dann abdrehen und einen Ärmel aufschrumpfen.
oder gibt es was zu kaufen? ein Reparatur-Set

Have you measured this axle compared to the other one to determine if you have a worn axle or the wrong bearing?
If the axle is worn can a machine shop weld material onto the axle and then cut it to correct diameter?
 
So I assume that everything is the same.
and the shaft worn out.
I reordered both wheel bearings from the same manufacturer.
but would not like to weld it on ... rather unscrew it and shrink a twisted sleeve on !?
 
honestly says you would fix something like that.
or buy a new one.
have looked.
new axle shaft would cost 180 €
the dangerous thing is that the wave can wander out if something doesn't fit.

I'm starting to suspect that I have the wrong ball bearings!
because normally it cannot shrink because it is a press fit.
are those zero eight fifteen ball bearings?
my axle shaft also has a v31 spline instead of 28 spline which a 1965 catalina should have.
what do you all mean?
I would now remove the bearings and measure the shaft.
then get the right bearings.

wave has come in.
how would you fix this?
twist off and shrink sleeve on?
or weld on? or other?
