Hi. New to the forum. Just bought a 91' sunbird. I'm trying to pretty much overhaul the whole car. I'm not the most experienced tech in the world and I'm having some trouble. I've bought two wheel cylinders for the rear drum breaks and after replacing one side I bled the system and pressed on the breaks to see the shoes move and the piston and rubber boot popped out of the new wheel cylinder and sprayed brake fluid everywhere. What would cause that to happen. Overfilling the brake fluid? Thats my only thought except for a faulty wheel cylinder. But I checked the other new one and it comes apart easily too. The old ones didn't want to come apart at all. I tore up the boots trying to get it apart after I took it off.
