• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... I am restoring my 66 GTO . I am currently trying to replace the rear wheelhouses . I have removed the old & purchased complete wheelhouses from my local supplier . The problem I am having is with the depth of the units . When measuring in the center of the wheel opening if measured from the trunk pan to the outside of the quarter panel I measure about 13 3/4 inches . The replacements I have measure 12 1/2 inches . Can somebody tell me what I am doing wrong . The tech guy at Year One measured his & they were the same . I need help !!

convertible or coupe/hardtop?
looking at the Ames catalog for the convertibles the inner housing have to have a section of the old panel cut off and welded onto the new panel.
