recently a friend of mine tried to install an amp. when he did so my headlights, windshield wipers and horn went out... i had it looked at and the mechanic said i would need a new body control module (BCM) my fuses and relays are fine. how much does one of these costs? and where can i get one? i called oriellys and they told me they cant get those...whould a junk yard have one?

The best bet is a dealership, but if you do get one from a junk yard make sure the numbers on the outside of your module and the one at the junkyard match before you hand over any cash, regardless of what the sales person tells you. Also make sure the module has been stored indoors out of the weather.

Call the dealership first the prices for these parts are lower now than a few years ago. If not you may have to go to a scrap yard.

What they said, you cant use a BCM from a junk yard or that has been programmed to 1 car. You will need to get one from the dealership & they will have to reprogram the new one & they will also have to reprogram the security system too
