Hi, I recently purchased a '66 Catalina convertible and have it on the road but I need to do some repairs. It has been stored for over 30 years before I bought it. The title shows the owner titled it in '72 and it doesn't have a lien on it so the '72 title may have just been the lien release. Either way I am either the second or 3rd owner.

This car has been hit in the left side and is full of body mud so I purchased a quarter panel skin from a online site. It is poor quality and I am not sure I will be using it. It needs a new top but those are available.

I am looking for sources for original reproduction seat upholstery as these are tearing at the seams. I have looked over the web and don't find many parts available either repro or used for these.

If you have some sources for parts for these cars please post them for me.

Thanks for any responses.

It will be a source for some things but there isn't much '66 parts there. I want bench seat upholstery and could have it duplicated but it would be easier if I can find reproduction or original covers. Do you know if the seat frames are the same for '65 or '67 cars? If so I could live with those patterns if they will fit the seat frames.
FWIW, I can see there will be issues finding parts but I will persevere.

contact PUI Interiors to see if their 67 Cat covers will fit 66 seats

I contacted PUI and they do not have '66 upholstery and are not going to guarantee that '67 would fit a '66. That being said they asked if I could send some pics of my upholstery so they can see if it's possible to take the pattern and reproduce it. I sent them the pics and am waiting to see if they decide to reproduce them. I will send the covers to them if they think mine are good enough to pattern from. I believe they are. Hopefully they will and future owners won't have the same problem I am having now.

That being said does anyone have a convertible you can post a pic of the rear seat bottom from. My seat bottom shows a lip that had to be covered with something as the steel frame is sticking out.

Below is a link to pics. I just need to know what is supposed to be at the bottom of this seat.

It's all one piece. The upholstery is hog ringed as you see it there. Since I am not familiar with these cars yet I'm wondering if this has had a re-upholstery job done on it. I certainly hope not. I bought this as a original survivor stored for 30 years and now after finding it has been hit in the left side and is full of body puddy I'm not going to get surprised at what else I will find.

I can fix the shoddy work but I need to be sure that I am working with the right parts. Thanks for the link.
