My car has been leaking antifreeze lately but it's not running hot. I'm pretty sure it's the water pump because last night while in the drive thru I heard a squealing noise and then I smelled antifreeze then the low coolant light popped on. When this first happened the temp hand went up 2 dashes past 200 and went down to 200 as I drove it home. Where is the water pump located? And are the thermostat and waterpump somehow correlated with each other?
