Greetings, My "Service Vehicle Soon" light has come on (only in the morning really). I have one headlight out and my change oil light came on right after I got a fresh oil change...the oil change was a few months ago, and I'm due for a new one but the REAL issue is my heat is barely working, making it hard to warm up my car in this terrible cold weather. I checked the coolant and its completely full.

I was told that my Service Vehicle light is from the headlight out and the low heat is from a bad thermostat....

Suggestions?

the main reason the check engine light came on on that car is the low heat readings on the the temperature sensor set the cel light on,you may have to change the thermostat in it and hav the cooling system flushed out on it,anyone of the senors that don't read right will set the light to come on,so get the computer scanned and see what code it gives you chances are it will be the one for the temperature sensor its not closing the loop for the computer to run in closed loop mode, good luck.

Who told you that? dude, the headlight has nothing to do with it. There is no sensor to even tell the car that headlight is bad. What kind of ****ing idiot have you been taking your car to? The light comes on ONLY with things that affect the emissions. so check intake sensors, exhaust sensors, and oil consumption, therein lies the problem.

For the change oil light, I'm pretty sure after you change the oil, you have to reset the cars computer. Check the owners Manuel on how to do this, but I think there's a button on the fuse panel for the bad heat and service engine light, I'd think something under the hood. Either way, it sounds like this thing is due for some repairs :) weird, I have a 2002 grand am too.
